My name is Heather Scott, and I am a forensic accountant with 15 years of experience working exclusively with small businesses.

Throughout my career, I've witnessed firsthand how theft, fraud, inefficient procedures, and inadequate financial controls can impact a business. More importantly, I've seen how many of these losses could have been prevented with the right systems and safeguards in place.

As my career progressed, I began focusing on more than just the numbers. I started examining the financial processes behind them—identifying weaknesses, uncovering inefficiencies, and helping businesses close the gaps that exposed them to unnecessary financial risk.

That experience inspired Fine Tooth Audits.

I understand how much time, money, and personal sacrifice goes into building a small business. I also understand that business owners cannot oversee every transaction, employee, or financial process themselves.
